Event Map

Street Closures and Parking

Route: E. Market Street from Campbell to Hancock (600, 700 & 800 blocks).

Assembly: E. Market Street from Baxter to Campbell (900 & 1000 blocks); Wenzel from Jefferson to Main; Lincoln Elementary parking lot.
 

Stage: On Clay St. at NE corner of E. Market St.

Parking: Free Parking + TARC
TARC and Louisville Slugger Field have partnered with the Kentucky Veterans Parade & Celebration to offer free parking and a free shuttle between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The TARC bus will pickup and drop off parade-goers at the Slugger Field parking lot (401 W Main St) and Market at Hancock. Buses are expected to arrive/depart on a 15-minute schedule.

Street Closures on Saturday, November 7:

  • 6:00 a.m.: 100 block S. Clay between Billy Goat Strut Alley and E. Market St.

  • 8:30 a.m.: E. Market from Baxter to Campbell closes; Wenzel and Campbell closed from Jefferson to Main

  • 10:30 a.m.: E. Market from Campbell to Hancock closes; Shelby and Clay closed from Nanny Goat Strut Alley/Billy Goat Strut Alley to Market

  • 10:30 a.m.: Campbell, Shelby, Clay and Hancock Streets from Main to Billy Goat Strut Alley and Jefferson to Nanny Goat Strut Alley (alleys remain open).​

Ceremony Program and Parade Participants​​

 

10:30 a.m.: Parade route streets closed

11:00 a.m.: Parade begins

12:15 p.m. (approx.): Massing of the Colors Ceremony 

12:30 p.m. (approx.): 21 Gun Salute 

Parade End to 1:30 p.m.: Celebration includes interactive displays, Touch a Tank (and Jeeps!)

1:30 p.m.: Event ends ​​
